Silverbridge Harps GAC Notes

Christmas at the Bridge

The festive season got off to a great start on Sunday with a visit from Santa. There was an air of intense anticipation as all the children awaited his arrival and wonderful excitement when he came. When he left, having distributed his presents, a disco provided the entertainment and everyone enjoyed themselves.

We continue in festive mood during the week with a youth club disco on Wednesday night.

On St Stephen’s night we have the Concern “Christmas” fancy dress fund raiser with music by Paddy King followed by a Disco. Doors open at 9 pm sharp.

We round off the year with our New Year’s Eve dance when the fabulous Limelite provide the entertainment. Doors open at 9 pm and as numbers are limited make sure you get your ticket soon.

Lotto

Last week’s numbers were 3, 7, 26 and 28. Six people had three of the numbers. Five received £35 and the other got €52.50. The Jackpot stands at £11,00 or €16,500. There will also be a Christmas draw with 4 prizes of £100 and 8 of £50.

On behalf of the Management Committee I would like to wish all our members, supporters and the wider community a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi shéan is faoi mhaise daoibh.

Youth Club

The Youth Club is now closed for the holidays. There will be a Christmas Disco for youth club members and their friends on Wednesday night 22nd December from 9 pm to 12 pm. Admission is £3 or €5. The Fun Yoga sessions for the girls have ended and we would like top thank Sharon for taking the sessions and the girls for participating. There will be something new for them in the New Year. The club will re-open on Tuesday 11th January for the girls and Wednesday 12th for the boys.
