St Michaels Newtown won the first match of the Tournament on Saturday last. With the Senior championship replay next Saturday and the Intermediate championship decider on Sunday it will not be possible to play the next round until the following weekend.Intermediate Championship
The Intermediate Championship final between Granemore and Whitecross takes place next Sunday 9th October at 3 30 pm in Keeley Park Silverbridge.Ladies Football
I will begin by congratulating the County ladies on their wonderful win in Croke Park on Sunday. Well done ladies. All the supporters who travelled on the coach from the club had a terrific day and returned in fine spirits. We must complement the young people on the way they behaved and say they are a credit to our club. Congratulations also to our U14 players Grainne Garvey and Laura McShane who played at half time.The Minor County League semi-final between Cashel and Clann Eireann will be played on Wednesday night (tomorrow) at 7 30 pm in the Bridge. Cashel is an amalgamation of girls from Silverbridge and Mullaghbawn so come out and support them.

Last week’s numbers were 4, 7, 10 and 18. The jackpot was not won but there were sixteen match three winners, fifteen of whom won £15 and one got €22.50. The jackpot will rise to £10,600 or €15,900 for this week’s draw.Meetings
The management committee will meet at 9 pm on Tuesday night ( tonight ).There will be a meeting of all the underage managers at 9 30 pm on Wednesday night (tomorrow) in the clubrooms.
Dinner Dance
Tickets for the Dinner dance and Presentation , which will be held this year in the Carrickdale on 11th November, will be available this week from any committee member and will cost £25 or €35.Youth Club
Now that we have settled in after the summer break we have a few new activities lined up for our members.Tuesday 4th Oct. is “Pampering Nite” for the girls. Girls come along and get pampered for the night. Also showing a DVD and Popcorn.
Tuesday 11th Oct. “Teen Fitness Nite”.
Don’t worry boys we have not forgotten you and we have some trips planned for November. All these activities are for paid up members only, and as numbers for the trips are limited places will be allocated on a first come basis. Ask the youth leaders for details.
