Silverbridge Notes 5th December 2005

E-mail Print
Life is quiet on the football scene for the club at the minute as the players take a break for a month or so.

Underage Football.

The underage managers are already making plans for next season and to this end will meet in the clubrooms at 9 pm tonight (Tuesday). They were delighted with the support they received from parents this year, especially with the younger players, and they are inviting anyone who feels they could help out in any way to come along tonight.

Last week’s winning numbers were 7, 10, 22 and 26.  The jackpot did not go but there were six match three winners. The jackpot has risen to £12,400 or €18,600 for this week’s draw.

Mock Wedding

The women’s group provided us with a wonderful evening’s entertainment last Saturday night while raising much needed funds for the Hospice. The “happy couple” were a little late tying the knot but part of the craic was in the anticipation and we were not disappointed. The group’s endeavour paid off and everyone had a wonderful time. Congratulations to all involved.

Youth club

The youth club will be on as usual this week on all three nights. The girls had great fun at our very successful  “bake” stall at the Christmas Fayre on Friday night. They had been busy all day baking and produced a great variety of tasty buns, cakes and bread. We would like to say how proud we are of their efforts and also thank their parents for their support. Thanks also to the Resource centre and to all who supported us on the night.
