B Team

The B team ensured a place in the County Championship Final with a good display of football against Clann Éireann last Wednesday night.  The lads were in determined mode right from the start and we were treated to some fine football skills in a match in which Clanns made the team fight all the way, but in end the Bridge won comfortably. The final is scheduled for Sunday 13th August in Crossmaglen at 5-30   pm.

Seniors

The seniors have a busy schedule this week. Their match with St Patricks has been refixed for Tuesday night 1st August at 8 pm in Cullyhanna. On Thursday night they travel to Lurgan for a game against Clann Éireann at 8 pm and next Sunday they have a home game with Ballyhegan at 2 pm.

Minors

The minors were also in good form for their championship encounter with Ballyhegan in the Bridge last Monday night, and now proceed to the next round which will be played next Monday night 7th August in Keeley Park with Madden providing the opposition. This week they have agame with Carrickcruppen at 7-30 in the Bridge.

5 to 8 year olds

Training continues for this group of boys and girls at 10-30 am on Sunday morning.

Lotto

Last week’s winning numbers were 14, 17, 24 and 25. The jackpot did not go but there were four match three winners who each won £50. The jackpot rises to £19,000 or €25,500 for this week’s draw.

Tickets for Croke Park

Tickets for Saturday’s All-Ireland Qualifier will be distributed on Tuesday night at 9-30 pm in the clubrooms. These tickets cost £25 or €35 plus a County Board levy of £1 or €2 and we will operate a strict policy of one ticket only per member. Family tickets are also available with one child per adult, the child ticket costing £3 or €5.

Weekend Entertainment

Friday:  Clubrooms:  Senior citizens.
Wee Bar:  Usual traditional music session.
Saturday:   Quinno.

Resource Centre

The Resource Centre committee will meet at 9-30 pm on Wednesday night.

Silverbridge Harps GAC Golf Classic

The golf classic will be held on Saturday 19th August in Ashfield Golf Club. There will be a BBQ at the 9th hole followed later by a meal and presentation in the clubrooms.

Silverbridge and Garvey’s Golf Society

The society will have their Captain’s Day at Ballymac golf course on Saturday 5th August, teeing off between 12 and 1 pm. For further details contact Michael Mallie on 0868318938 or Eamon McCann on 30868988.

Youth Camp 21st to 25th August

The Summer Youth camp will be held this year from 21st to 25th August. It will run each day from 10 am to 2 pm catering for 5 to 13 year olds and will cost £30 or €45.  There will be games of all sorts, music, art, obstacle course etc. and a trip to look forward to. These are available in the local shops in Silverbridge, Creggan, Tullydonnell and Glassdrummond.
