Seniors

After a lacklustre game and despite the best efforts of defender Anthony Mallie the seniors lost to Culloville on Sunday past on a score line of 0-12 to 0-8. Next week’s game is an away fixture against Pearse Ógs. Please check press for details.

Michael Donnelly Cup

The competition for the Michael Donnelly had to be postponed on Sunday and will now take place on Sunday 8th October.

Ladies Football - Bus to All-Ireland

There are no seats left on the bus from Silverbridge to Croke Park for next Sunday’s Ladies’ All-Ireland final. Kieran Murphy still has some tickets for the game and he can be contacted on 30861045. We wish the Armagh girls luck and success on Sunday.

Lotto

The winning numbers last week were 6, 24, 25 and 31. The jackpot was not won but there were seven match three winners. The jackpot will now be £20,600 or €30,900 for this week’s draw.

Meetings

There will be a meeting of all Minor, B and Senior players on Tuesday night at 9-30 pm followed by a meeting of the Executive committee.

Weekend Entertainment

Friday:  Usual traditional music session.

Future Events

October and of course Hollowe’en is fast approaching, so tickets will be on sale very soon for our annual Hollowe’en Tramp’s Ball which has been arranged for Saturday 28th October in the social club. That gives everyone the chance to plan costumes and get into the groove for what is now a very popular annual event. Gerry Mac will provide music on the night, followed by Tracey’s Disco.

Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation

This important event in the club calendar has been arranged for Friday 24th November in the Park Inn Hotel. The draw for the C220 Mercedes car and other wonderful prizes in our Club Development draw will also be held on that night. Tickets for the draw are still available from any committee member.

Scór na nÓg

The first practice for the Novelty Act will be held this Wednesday night at 9 pm and all who are interested are invited along on the night.
Resource Centre

Christy Moore

Tickets for the Christy Moore concert on Friday 27th October are sold out but an extra concert has been arranged for the Saturday night 28th October. Tickets for this 2nd concert can be purchased in the Resource Centre between 10 am and 12 noon and 7 to 9 pm Monday to Friday, or by phoning 30 868 988.

Circuit Training

This year’s classes will run each Monday and Thursday night from 7 to 8 pm or from 8 to 9 pm. Further details may be had from Eamon on 30 868 988.

Badminton

The Badminton club continues this Wednesday evening at 9 pm and new members are welcome. For more information call 30 868 822 or 30868 175

Youth Club

Activities continue on Tuesday night for girls and on Wednesday night for boys. On Friday night we will have a “Back To School” disco for our members and their friends from 8 to 11 pm. Admission is £3 or €5. Parents are asked to make sure their child goes into the disco before driving off and to pick them up on time.
