Senior Team

The Senior Team travelled to Granemore on Sunday for a vital division two league match. The tense nature of the game meant that mistakes were evident from both sides and each team had only a point on the score board in the first 15 minutes. Then with four points in the next 10 minutes silverbride pulled ahead only for Granemore to reply with two points of their own in a one minutes spell. A good break from defence set up Liam Campbell up for a well taken goal, which was then followed by a Damian McCann point. Granemore ended the scoring in the first half with a point. But for three point blank saves from Miceal Reel in the bridge goals the half time score could have been a lot different. Half time score 1-6: 0-4  The second half was punctuated with lots of stoppages which left the play scrappy at times. Scores were hard to come by in this half with only five points on offer over the half hour. Two of these been late scores from second half subs Brendan Bellew and Eugene Byrne which resulted in a win for the bridge with a score line of 1-8 to 0-7. Although the two points gained for this win were badly need better performances will be required for the challenges that lie ahead..
