Silverbridge Notes
Minors
The curtain came down on this year’s minor campaign with a defeat to Granemore in the last 16 of the minor championship. The game still in the balance at half-time with the home side only two points up. Silverbridge were still well in this game but two Granemore second half goals in 40th and 45th minute opened up a gap the Bridge could never close. The team battled well right to the final whistle knowing that goals were needed to win the game. They weren’t to come and Granemore ran out 2-10 to 0-4 winners. The team must be applauded for a great effort all season, where every fixture was fulfilled and no effort spared. During the course of the season not one red card was received and minimum yellows. The Club are proud of these young lads, the way they wore the jersey with distinction. Only about five are over age for next year and the future of the senior side looks bright with these young lads to step up to the mark. Enjoy your well deserved break.
Under 8’s
The Under 8 boys and girls had a very successful day at the Annual Dromintee Blitz.
During the day we played Bredagh, Mullaghbawn, Clan Eireann and Shane O’Neils and after some titantic matches we qualified for the Shield Final against Culloville. It was a case of saving the best performance to the final match as a tremendous team effort seen off a valiant Culloville side. The Player of the Final, Daniel McKeown, collected the Shield on behalf of the delighted team. Coaching continues on Sunday @ 11.00am.
Lotto
There was no Jackpot winner last week numbers drawn were 1, 3, 10, 28 Bonus 3, seven match three winners each receive £30 next weeks Jackpot £13,800.
Gala fundraising night
With preparations for our fundraising night at an advanced stage and with over 90% of tickets sold, any member who wishes to attend should contact a committee member as soon as possible.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our members to help secure the financial future of the club and we are already grateful to all in the business community who are supporting us on the night.
Entertainment on the night will be provided by Jimmy Buckley and his band.

Tickets for Christy Moore on Saturday the 8th November are now available and can be purchased at the Resource Centre any Tuesday or Thursday nights from 8-10 pm.

Yoga
Yoga takes place every Tuesday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Badminton Club
Silverbridge Badminton Club runs every Wednesday night in the Resource Centre, Fords Cross, Silverbridge from 9pm to 11pm. This is an excellent way to keep fit and get to know people. Age is no barrier as it is very suitable to people of all ages and fitness. Racquets and equipment are provided. All welcome. Contact Margaret Hughes Tel 30868822. A Juvenile Club also runs on Mondays and Saturdays. Again all queries to the above named.
