Senior Team
The Senior Team played away to Tir Na nOg in Portadown on Saturday evening. They started strongly but tucked six wides without registering a score before the home side opened their account. However they battled strongly to finish level at half time 0-4 each. In the second half Silverbridge dominated possession but were unable to convert enough chances. With just seconds to go Tir Na nOg earned a draw with a point from county star Brian Mallon. The sides finishing level at the final whistle.
The team was: B Cumiskey, A Mallie, P Hughes, C Reel, C Lambe, S Murphy, N Treanor, K O Connell, B Byrne, N Quinn, L Campbell (0-5), P Cumiskey, T Mc Kenna (0-1), E Byrne (0-2), R Griffin Subs: P Carragher and R Hamill.
The next game is on Friday night 8 May against Ballyhegan in Silverbridge at 7.00pm
Under 16's
The Under 16 were beaten by St Jospephs on Thursday night 0-8 to 0-10. They played a good game against a very strong side and were unlucky to get a goal in the last minute of the game. The Bridge keeper made some excellent saves and all round a good game by everyone.
La na gClub
Final preparations are underway for the 125 Celebration Weekend in the club. There will be a meeting on Tuesday night at 9.00pm to put together any photos, medals etc and if you have anything that you would like to have in the exhibition please come along on Tuesday night. The festivities begin on Friday evening with the Senior team playing Ballyhegan at 7.00pm followed by the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to the memory of Peter Keeley. A Folk Mass will then take place in the the Resource Centre with the Silverbridge Rose in the Social Club afterwards. There will be events for Special Needs on Saturday morning followed by the Cic Fhada from Carnally to the football field in the afternoon. A Recreational Football match will take place on Saturday evening which will be aimed at those who no longer play football. There are more lenient rules for this game and one of these rules is "no contact" which should help eliminate injuries etc. Kevin Kearney and his band will provide the entertainment for Saturday night.
Sunday is the official day of celebrations and will begin at 12.30 with a parade from Daly Park to the football field. This parade will be led by the Artane Boys Band which is a great privilege for Silverbridge to have secured such a wonderful band . Sundays entertainment will include events for all ages in the football field as well as bouncy castles etc in the Resource Centre for the younger children. The fun packed weekend will finish off with a traditional session in the wee bar.
Irish Dancing
Irish Dancing Classes continue every Monday evening in the Social Club.
Club Mercandise
The club merchandise shop will be open on Monday 4 May at 1.30pm and on Tuesday nights between 7.00 and 9.00pm. If you wish to purchase anything outside these hours please contact Colette O Connell, Marie Crummy or Sandra Derby.
Resource Centre
The boys youth club resumes again on Wednesday night 6 May as usual.
Kardio Kombat continues on Thursday nights from 8-9pm.
There will be tae kwondo classes on Saturdays from 3-5pm for boys and girls. Adult classes will be by request. For further details contact Cathal on 086 05437121.
Lotto

Peter Keeley Quiz
The annual Peter Keeley quiz is took place on Saturday 2 May. This was a great night's craic enjoyed by everyone and a poignant way to remember a great club man.
Congratulatoins
The club would like to congratulate Deirdre Murphy and Steven Mc Kevitt who got married last Friday and who had their reception in the Club. Best Wishes for the future Deirdre and Steven.

Sponsored Walk
The Annual Sponsored Walk will take place on Monday 4 May and which is guaranteed to be a fun day for everyone. Sponsorship cards are available from any Committee member and as well as raising funds for the club it is an opportunity for a family day out. There will be some refreshments for everyone on return to the club as well as bouncy castles etc in the Resource Centre for the children. Please note that if anyone is taking a bicycle on the walk for health and safety reasons they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Remember the "wee bar" is open from 5.00pm on Saturdays and 12 noon on Sundays for anyone who wants to watch games on Setanta TV.
Silverbridge Rose
A meeting to discuss the plans for the Silverbridge Rose will take place on Wednesday 6 May at 9.00pm. Those girls who have already come forward to take part as well as anyone else who would like to are asked to attend the meeting. The Silverbridge Rose contest will take place on Friday 8 May in the Social Club followed by a disco. The format of the night for the Silverbridge Rose will be very informal and is guaranteed to be a lot of fun.
