Silverbridge Notes 26 May 2009

Senior Team

Maghery 1-13 Silverbridge 1-7

The Senior team travelled to Maghery on Sunday and fought a hard battle against the home side. The Bridge were two points in deficit after losing a man just on the half time whistle. They put all their energy into the second half and retained a lot of possession but could not convert it into scores. A penalty delivered home by C Conlon was not enough against a very determined Maghery side.

The team was: C Crummie, A Mallie, P Hughes, C Reel, C Lambe, P Reel, S Murphy, R Hamill (0-1), B Byrne, N Quinn, L Campbell (0-5), R Crummie, T Mc Kenna, L Collins, R Griffin (0-1). Substitution: C Conlon (1-0).

Well done to the Under 14 Girls who beat Dromintee on Thursday night. The match was played in terrible conditions but this did not deter the Bridge girls from giving it their all and defeating the opposition on their home ground.
