Senior Team
Silverbridge 1-6 Wolfe Tones 0-7
The Senior team played host to Wolfe Tones on Friday night in Keeley Park. The home side maintained a comfortable lead in the first half and with the help of a goal from Liam Campbell held the visitors to a four point deficit at half time. Minutes into the second half Wolfe Tones lost a man and this gave the Bridge the extra man to work with. Hoeever the visitors scored another three points without repoly from the Bridge until the final minutes of the game. A point scored by Thomas Mc Kenna gave the Brige that extra point which prevented a draw. The final score 1-6 to 0-7 enabled the Bridge to get the points.

Next weekend is a busy one for the Bridge with a game against Whitecross on Friday 5 June at home and away to Ballymacnab on Sunday 8 June.
Ladies Football
The Ladies and girls teams had good results this week. The Under 14 Girls team beat Dromintee on Monday night and the Senior Ladies team had an impressive win over Forkhill in the Championship on Wednesday night. These results are a great confidence booster for the ladies and girls and indeed the managers who put so much effort into their training and organisation.
The Under 10's and Under 8's have a challenge match against Stewartstown Harps GAC on Saturday 13 June at 1.30 in the Bridge.
U14 Boys
The U14 boys got off to a winning start in their opening round of the South Armagh championship with a comprehensive win against Shane O'Neills. Each member of the team put in a very good performance and played some good football throughout. They now progress to the semi-final where they will play Killeavy.
Kildare Feile Peil na Og 2009

Club Mercandise
The club merchandise shop will be open on Tuesday nights between 7.00 and 9.00pm. If you wish to purchase anything outside these hours please contact Colette O Connell, Marie Crummy or Sandra Derby.
Resource Centre
Kardio kombat continues on Thursday nights from 8-9pm.

St Brigid's Youth Club Silverbridge are proud to present "The Bridge's got Talent". This event is taking place on Friday 5 June at 7.00pm in the Resource Centre.

Youth Club
This week the youth club will having rehearsals for those who are only taking part in the talent show. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday between 7.00 - 9.00pm for both boys and girls on both nights. The youth club returns as normal on the 9th June for girls and 10th June for boys.
Senior Citizens and Special Needs
The Lord Mayor is hosting an evening of entertainment for the Senior Citizens and Special Needs of the area. The event is taking place in the Bridge Social Club on Tuesday night 2 June at 7.00pm. Everyone is more than welcome to come along. It is a great honour for the club to have been asked to host this event on behalf of the Lord Mayors office.
Lotto
There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 3, 7, 17, and 24 and the bonus number was 5. There were 13 match 3 winners each receiving £20 or 30 euro. Remember the lotto is available online by visiting our website www.silverbridgegfc.com . "If you're not in you can't win"
Lord Mayor Presentation Night
It is coming to the end of office for our Lord Mayor Colie Burns and the club are hosting a special presentation night in his recognition of his years service. Colie is a member of Silverbridge Club and it is a great honour for the club to have had a Lord Mayor in its midst. This night is open to everyone who wishes to come and thank Colie for all he has done for the club and the Newry and Mourne District in the twelve months that he was in office. It is guaranteed to be a great night's craic of music and dance and light supper.
