Gaelic Start
Gaelic Go Start continues on Sunday morning 28 June, activities to be set up at 10.00am and children to be there at 10.45 for a 11.00am start. There are normally 20 activity stations to be manned by parents and the programme can not start until there are enough parents to look after each station. We would urge parents and children to arrive on time so that each activity can be allocated to a parent. These activities are well worth pursuing as they help to build children's confidence and ability which is improving from week to week. Please bring along some drinks and appropriate clothes for the weather. Once again we would urge more parents to come along at 10.00 to help set up and support the children in this worth while venture.
U 14 Feile Fund raising weekend
The club was a hive of activity this weekend with fund raising events for the U14 Feile weekend in Kildare in July. The weekend started off with a "Schools Out " disco on Friday night for the chidren and a dance in the Social Club on Saturday night for the parents with music provided by Woody. Both nights were a great success and everyone is now looking forward to success in Kildare in July.
The U14's were beaten by Dromintee on Tuesday night in the Championship. The lads played well but circumstances didn't just go their way on the night.
"No Direction"
Congratulations to Christopher Rowland and Paudie Burns aka "No Direction" who got through the 2nd stage of North Easts' Got Talent on Friday 19 June in the Fiddlers Elbow in Carrickmacross. They stole the show and made a huge impression on the judges as well as the audience who voted them through to the next stage. If you would like a great nights entertainment why not go along to the next stage which takes place on Friday 26 June in the Fiddlers Elbow and show your support for the lads. Well Done Christopher and Paudie. A bus is leaving the club on Friday evening at 8.30 for all those who wish to go along and support the boys.
