Silverbridge Harps GAC

The senior team played Clann Eireann in their return match of the League in Keeley Park on Friday night. The home team got off to a slow start and were five points down at half time. They played better football in the second half but found it difficult to win the ball in mid field. They scored two points more than the Clanns in this half but the deficit of five remained in the final tally.

Gaelic Go Start continues on Sundays as usual. Once again we would urge that everyone is there for 10.45 and as many parents as possible are available to help look after the activity stations. These activities are well worth pursuing as they help to build children's confidence and ability which is improving from week to week. Please bring along some drinks and appropriate clothes for the weather.

Please note that training will continue throughout the holidays on Thursday evenings at 7.00pm.

The club would like to express our club members Geraline and Pat Murphy on the recent death of Geraldines brother Christy Mackin RIP and to the entire Mackin family. Also to our Senior Players Paudie and Brendan Cumiskey on the death of their grandmother Cissie Trainor RIP.

The track will be available for use from 8am Monday to Saturday during July and August.

Tae kwondo classes continue on Saturdays from 3-5pm for boys and girls. For further information contact Cathal on 086 0543712.

There was a beautiful wedding reception held in the Reaource Centre on Saturday. There was a great deal of work carried out over the past week by the Resouce Working Group in preparation for this great day which was a credit to all involved. Thanks to everyone who helped out in the preparation and the clean up afterwards and hopefully this will encourage others to come and view our wonderful facilities for future weddings.

Conratulations to Ann Marie Murphy and Gavin Lonergan were married in Glassdrummond on Satruday and who held their wedding reception in the Resource Centre. We wish them many years of health and happiness.

The club wishes to extend Get Well Wishes to Pat Traynor who was in hospital recently.
