Ladies Football
Silverbridge 2-9 Mullabrack 2-7
Silverbridge girls secured two valuable league points with this victory over Mullabrack on Saturday evening. At half time the scores were level with four points each but with Mullabrack taking a five point lead early in the second half it took a great fighting performance from the Silverbridge girls to finally claim victory. A goal from Roisin Murphy narrowed the gap to a single point but the visitors responded with a goal at the other end. Then up stepped Denise Buckley, an under 14 player who had come on at half time and with a goal and three points in the second half she made a major contribution to edging the home side in front.
The team was: K Mc Kinley, A Hoey, S Reel, G Murphy, R Murphy (1-1), L Murphy (0-1), T Loye (0-1), M Burns, S Moley (0-1), N Gernon (0-1), O Reel, P Murphy and G Garvey (0-1). Sub: D Buckley (1-3).

Youth Club
The youth club is due to reopen in September again for the young people of our club and from surrounding areas. The youth club is a terrific social outlet for young people particularly during the winter months. However due to lack of youth club leaders and volunteers, we are now in a position that it may not be possible to reopen. We are looking for youth club leaders who are available and committed to working with the young people one night a week on a number of sports and recreational activities including soccer, basketball, uni-hoc, arts and crafts, cookery etc. We also need a group of volunteers who are available once or twice a month to help supervise. Anybody interested in becoming a youth club leader or volunteer are asked to please contact Mairead Kelly 0864028372 or Lizzy Smyth 07816343842.
If we have No Help We will have No Youth Club!
The Youth Club Annual General Meeting is due to be held on Thursday 3rd September at 8.00pm in the Resource Centre.
Good Luck
The club would like to wish the Armagh Minor Team the best of luck in the All Ireland Semi Final next weekend. This is a great time for the Armagh Minors and it is a credit to the lads and their Manager Paul Mc Shane who have got to this stage of the Championship. Best of Luck to our own Peter Carragher who will no doubt do his club and county proud. It is also great to see the bunting up in Glassdrummond and surrounding areas which adds to the excitement of it all.
