Annual Dinner Dance

The club's Annual Dinner Dance took place in the Resource Centre on Saturday 7 November. The guests of honour for this years dance were the 1959 Senior Team and 1984 Minor Team. People travelled from far and near to be part of the nights celebrations and to show their appreciation for the committment and dedication shown by the players of the two teams. It was a nostalgic night for a lot of people and an opportunity to remember those who for whatever reason could not be there and it was a night of remembrance too for our past members who have sadly passed away.

The evening began with a beautiful meal followed by a few words from Sean Reavey and Eddie Hughes who then proceeded to make the following presentations:

A special word of thanks must go to the huge crowd who made the effort to turn up on the night and help make it such a sepcial occassion for the honourees.

Thanks also to all who helped organise the night and prepare the Resource Centre the bar staff and waiters, to Mc Entees for the beautiful meal and to "Town and Country" and A Martin who provided the musical entertainment and to Martina Crilly for the table decorations. No doubt I will have forgotten someone so a huge thanks to everyone involved.

Vodafone "Support your club".

If you use a Vodafone mobile you will be able to contribute 5% of your monthly bill or your top up voucher to the club. However this facility is only avialable for people who use a Southern mobile. AGM

The AGM will take place on 6 December at 3.30pm. Nomination forms have been sent to every member but if you have not received one please contact Aidan Murphy on 087 4132210. These forms must be returned by Sunday 15 November to Aidan or to a box which is available in the Social Club.

Gaelic Start

Gaelic Go Start resumes on Sunday 15 November in the Resource Centre. Parents are asked to arrive at 10.45 to help set up the course so that activities can start at 11.00am. Please bring some drinks along for your children.

Under 16

Under 16 training has now finished for the season. It is hoped to have some indoor football in the near future to help keep fit during the winter months. More details to follow.

Resource Centre

6 week Circuit Training course begins on Monday 9 November at 7.30 and will run on Monday and Thursday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

Tae Kwon Do

Classes take place on Saturdays 2.30-3.30pm in the Resource Centre. Adult classes are available on request. For more details contact Cathal on 086 0543712.

Lotto Results

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The number drawn were 5,26, 30 and 32 and the bonus number was 3. There was 2 match 3 winners each receiving £100 or E150. To play online please visit our website

Sympathy

The club would like to express its deepest sympathy to our players Seamus, Oliver and Michael and the entire Hearty family on the recent death of their grandfather Ollie RIP.

Club Merchandise/Christmas Club

The shop will be open on Tuesday nights until 9pm. The Christmas Club is ongoing and a deposit of 20% will secure any item.

Walking Track

Please note that the closing time for the Walking Track is 10.30pm.

Cards and darts continue on Saturday nights for Christmas hampers, turkeys, hams etc. in the wee bar.
