Underage Presentation Day

The Presentations to all Underage teams including those children who took part in the Gaelic Go Start will take place on Sunday 29 November in the Resource Centre. They will start at 3.00pm followed by a disco until 6.00pm approximately. It is guaranteed to be memorable day for the children so please bring them along.

 

"Pat Murphy Cup"

The first round of the Pat Murphy Cup will take place on Friday 4 December at 7.30pm with the final taking place on the following Saturday 12 December at 7.30pm.This competition is in memory of one of the clubs true Gaels and it is great to see that the competition is continuing.

So if you are a past or present player from Minor age upwards and want to take part please contact Brian Traynor on 30868501 as soon as possible.

Vodafone "Support your club".

If you use a Vodafone mobile you will be able to contribute 5% of your monthly bill or your top up voucher to the club. However this facility is only avialable for people who use a Southern mobile. For more details you can view the Vodafone website or contact Aidan Murphy on 087 4132210. Application forms are also available from Thomas Hamill.

Scor Na nOg

At time of going to press the Scor Na nOg semi finals took place on Sunday night in Craigavon and no results are available. Our very own club were more than represented with the Ceili Dancers, Instrumental Group, Solo singer, Recitiation and two Quiz Teams taking part. More details of the results will be in next weeks notes. It is a credit to all these young participants who got through the quarter finals in Mullaghabawn and who have given their time and energy to represent their club in Scor.

Executive Meeting

The next Executive Meeting takes place on Tuesday 24 November at 9.00pm.

Players Meeting

A meeting for 2008 Minor players and 2009 Senior players will take place on Wednesday 25 November at 7.30pm in the Social Club. If you are interested in playing Senior football next year please come along with a view to discussing a pre season training programme. Everyone is more than welcome.

AGM

The AGM will take place on 6 December at 3.30pm. All nominations have now been accepted.

Best Kept Club

Silverbridge GAC received two very prestigious awards this week from the County Board. One was for "Best Maintained Club 2009" and the other was the "Provinicial Merit Award 2009". It is a great honour to receive these awards and it is a credit to all those who help maintain and run the club and contribute in whatever way big or small to keep the club in such great condition. Awards such as these make all the hard work and effort worth while.

Gaelic Start

Gaelic Start is postponed next Sunday 29 due to the Underage Presentations in the Resource Centre. All children who took part in the Gaelic Start during the year are invited for presentations at 3.00pm with the other underage teams.

St Brigids Youth Club

 

St Brigid's Youth Club is holding a basic CPR Training course for youth club members only on Tuesday 24th November between 7:30 - 9:30 pm in Silverbridge Resource Centre. Although this course is being held on a girl's youth club night, the boys are also invited to come along on the night as the course is catering for all members. Please note that the course is commencing at 7:30 pm and not the usual time of 7:00 pm for the youth club.

Youth Club Disco

St Brigid's Youth Club would also like to announce that a Youth Club Disco will be taking place on Friday 27th November between 8:00 - 11:00 pm. Admission will be £4 and the disco is being run for 10-14 year olds.

Resource Centre

6 week Circuit Training course continues on Monday and Thursday nights from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

Tae Kwon Do

Classes take place on Saturdays 2.30-3.30pm in the Resource Centre. Adult classes are available on request. For more details contact Cathal on 086 0543712.

Lotto Results

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The number drawn were 11,12, 24 and 25 and the bonus number was 8. There were 3 match 3 winners each receiving £70 or E105. To play online please visit our website www.silverbridgegfc.com . "If you're not in you can't win"

4 December Senior Citizens and Special Needs Christmas Party Night

18 December Christmas Dinner Party Night (Traders if you want to book a table for this party night please contact any committee member)

Cards and darts continue on Saturday nights for Christmas hampers, turkeys, hams etc. in the wee bar.

Club Merchandise/Christmas Club

The shop will be open on Tuesday nights until 9pm. The Christmas Club is ongoing and a deposit of 20% will secure any item.

Walking Track

Please note that the closing time for the Walking Track is 10.30pm.
