SILVERBRIDGE HARPS GAC NOTES 

2nd February 2010 

Under 14’s & Under 16’s Players
A Meeting has been arranged for All Players to attend @ 7.30pm sharp on Tuesday 2nd February 2010 in the Clubrooms. We would ask all Players to make a special effort to attend this very important meeting. 

St Kevin’s Kildare Visit To Silverbridge Harps GAC
Last year the U14 Feile Team were hosted by parents from St Kevin’s in Kildare and it is hoped that Silverbridge will repay their kind hospitality. There is an opportunity to do this weekending commencing Saturday 13th March and a meeting will be held on Wednesday 3rd February at 8.30pm in the Viewing Gallery to discuss arrangements. All Parents of the U14 Feile Team 2009 and Coaches and anyone else who would like to help are asked to attend.  

Rose of Tralee 2010

Yes, it’s that time of year again. Calling on all young Ladies between the ages of 18 & 27 years old who are interested in representing the Club as the Silverbridge Harps Rose for selection in the County Armagh Rose, please contact Michaela Rowland on 079 22870025 or 028 30 889209.

Scor Na Nog Ulster Final Winners
The Ireland Finals are to be held in Athlone on Saturday 20th February 2010. All those wishing to book tickets for this important event, please contact either Peter Murphy on 02830 888244 or Marian Murphy on 02830 861045. Also, if anyone would like to book the Athlone Springs Hotel, please contact them directly on 00353 906 444444.

Gaelic Go Start
Gaelic Go Start continues on Sunday 7th February 2010. Setting up at 10.00am for commencement @ 10.45am. All help would be gratefully appreciated. Parents, please make sure that these young Athletes bring a Drink and wear suitable footwear. 

Support Your Club
This is an opportunity to support your Club by donating £10.00 per month by DDM. Forms can be obtained from any of the Committee Members. Much needed funds and new Contributors are very welcome. We would also warmly welcome new Lotto ticket sellers which would also be immensely beneficial to our Club. So, contact any of the Committee Members and they will be very receptive for your offer of assistance. Thank you. 

Congratulations
The Executive Committee & Club Members wish to Congratulate St Joseph’s High School Crossmaglen and the participating pupils who successfully represented the School’s Irish Quiz Team. They came first, beating all other Contenders in the Ulster Irish Quiz, held in Lurgan on Friday past.  Our special congratulations go to our young Club Members, namely, Aaron Duffy, Gavin Rowland, James Meegan & Ciara Largey. Well Done. Be very proud of yourselves on this great achievement.  

Ladies Football Training

A Circuit Training session will take place on Wednesday 3rd February in the Bowls Room @ 9.00pm sharp.  All past, present and new comers are welcome. Look forward to seeing you there.

Social Entertainment
Every Thursday night @ 8.30pm in the Social club. The Jackpot is £2,000. Everybody welcome.

Social Events
The Senior Citizens & Special Needs Night will be held on Friday 5th February in the Social Club. Looking forward to everyone attending. 

Resource Centre

The Circuit Training will continue each Monday and Thursday evenings, between the hours of 7.30pm and 8.30pm up in the Bowls Room. Looking forward to seeing you all. Tae Kwon DoThe Tae Kwon Do Classes will continue on Saturday afternoon @ 2.30pm. See you all there. 


Club Membership

Membership Officer, Micksey Toal will be renewing annual membership on Thursday night 4th February in the Wee Bar between 9.00pm and 10.00pm.   

Lotto Draw Results
The Lotto draw numbers were 6, 19, 20 & 30 and the lucky number was 8.The next Lotto Draw will take place on 1st February 2010.
NOTE: All lotto tickets to be returned to the club on Monday nights at 8.30pm sharp. 


Resource Centre

Anyone wishing to use the Facilities of the Resource Centre, please contact Eamon McCann @ 02830 868988 for information and bookings. 


Meeting

A Meeting to discuss Fund-Raising for the Club will be held on Wednesday 17th February 2010 @ 8.00pm sharp in the Social Club. All Club members and anyone who would like to help and assist in this needy cause are more than welcome to come along. 

Congratulations

Congratulations go to St. Brigid’s P.S Glassdrummond who took part in the annual Crossmaglen Credit Union Quiz held on Friday night past. The School had three teams entered in this quiz, with two of the teams coming second in their categories. Well done too all the children participating in all three teams. And thanks to the Teachers and Parents who helped coach them along.
