SILVERBRIDGE HARPS GAC NOTES 

30th March 2010 

Field Notice
Please note that the Pitch is for Club Use Only, until further notice. 

Easter Sunday Night
One Vision will be providing the Music for Song and Dance in the Wee Bar on Easter Sunday Night 4th April starting @ 9.00pm. Light refreshments will be served. So, come along and enjoy a good night’s entertainment and craic. 

Under 8’s Coaching
Under 8 coaching for boys and girls will start back on Sunday 11th April at 11am and will be held outside. Appropriate clothing and footwear is essential and please take a drink. 

Under 12’s Girls Football 

Training as normal, please bring suitable footwear and a drink.

Under 16’s Girls Football

Training continues on Tuesday 30th March @ 7.00pm. Please bring appropriate footwear, clothing and a drink. 


Under 12’s Boys Training

The Under 12’s have a challenge match against Ballyholland on Saturday 3rd April 2010.The throw-in is@ 3.00pm. All Players must assemble in the Club car park for 1.30pm sharp. The team should be back @ 5.00pm approximately. 


Under 10’s Boys Training

Training as normal, please bring suitable footwear and a drink. 


Gaelic Go Start

Gaelic Go Start is postponed until Sunday 11th April 2010 due to Easter Sunday celebrations.  Weather permitting, this may be held outdoors, so we would ask Parents to ensure that the children bring alternative clothing.  Setting up @ 10.15am for commencement at 10.45am and all help is appreciated. Each child MUST be signed in and accompanied by a Parent/Guardian throughout the activities so there is a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Adequate footwear and a drink are essential.


Congratulations to St. Joseph’s High School

The Executive Committee and Club Members send their heartiest Congratulations on a brilliant win last Monday against Colaiste Feirste in Ballyholland. Another piece of silverware, namely the Ulster Ennis Cup has been added to the Schools collection. A special word for our lads namely Aaron Duffy, Sean Garvey, Gavin Rowland, Aaron Burns, James Meegan & Dan Treanor. Both Aaron Duffy & Sean Garvey gave an outstanding performance as did the other four lads when the Team needed them. Again, congratulations and well done lads.


Child Protection Training Programme

There will be a Child Protection Training Programme on the 7th April 2010 @ 7.00pm.  All those interested are asked to come along.  Please contact Michael McGeeney on 07831176584 for further information.


Underage Players Guide

We would ask all Parents presented with the “Information for Parents” booklet handed out at Registration night, to read this booklet together with their Children as same sets out the “Code of Conduct & Responsibilities & Child Protection Policy”. If you haven’t got this literature, please ask the trainers for a copy. Only one per household required.


Senior Citizens & Special Needs Night
The Senior Citizens & Special Needs night will be held on Friday 2nd April 2010 in the Social Club.
 

Bus Drivers Required

Anyone with the appropriate Bus Driving License who would like to help out by driving the Club Mini bus for Matches, etc, please contact Louise Murphy on 0872325720.


The Club Merchandise Shop

Now that the Training season is underway, the Shop will be open every Tuesday night from 7.00pm to 9.00pm for your purchases of all Club merchandise. All Managers who wish to purchase the Training Kits must complete an Order Form in the Shop so as to ensure the Suppliers forward the goods required.  

Lotto Draw Results  
The Lotto draw numbers were 2, 3, 12, 23 and the bonus number was 6.
The next Lotto Draw will take place on Monday 29th March 2010.
NOTE: All lotto tickets to be returned to the club on Monday nights at 8.30pm sharp.

Support Your Club

This is an opportunity to support your Club by donating £10.00 per month by DDM. Forms can be obtained from any of the Committee Members. Much needed funds and new Contributors are very welcome. We would also warmly welcome new Lotto ticket sellers which would also be immensely beneficial to our Club. So, contact any of the Committee Members and they will be very receptive for your offer of assistance.   


Men’s Yoga Night

Men’s Yoga Classes will continue on Tuesday night 30th March @ 9.00pm in the Resource Centre and weekly thereafter. For further information, please contact Michael McGeeney on 07831176584.

Entertainment

Every Thursday night @ 8.30pm in the Social club, everybody welcome. 

 

Resource Centre

The Circuit Training will continue each Monday and Thursday evenings, between the hours of 7.30pm and 8.30pm up in the Bowls Room.


Social Events Meeting

A Meeting is being held on Wednesday 30th March @ 9.00pm sharp in the Wee Bar. All those involved, please come along.


Ladies Night

To celebrate the start of the May Bank Holiday, the Silverbridge Harps GAC is holding a Ladies Night on Saturday 1st May 2010 @ 8.30pm in the Social Club. Lively Entertainment is promised with Music & Dance on the night and Spot Prizes to be won. Light refreshments are being served. Dress Casual and all ages are welcome. Strictly Ladies only, please keep a close eye on these notes for more information; Proceeds in aid of Women’s Aid.

Special Birthday Wishes go to Eugene Ryan, Mullaghbawn who has a Big birthday on Wednesday.

The Executive Committee and Club Members wish Bon Voyage to the Senior Ladies Trainer Gerard Galbraith & Kellie McNamee both from Glassdrummond who are heading of to Australia next week. Take care and good luck to you.
 

Tae Kwon Do

The Tae Kwon Do Classes will continue on Saturday afternoon @ 2.30pm. See you all there.
