Senior Match Report

Silverbridge travelled to Granemore on Sunday past for the 12pm throw-in and came home disappointed following their defeat by the opposition who were the better team. It was eighteen minutes into the first half before our lads scored their first point taken by Ryan Hamill. Eugene & Brendan Byrnes scored a point each before half time leaving the score 0-07 to 0-03 to Granemore. Eleven minutes into the second half, Brendan Byrnes scored a point from a free with Liam Campbell scoring the final point in this poor second half. The final score was 0-12 to 0-05.  Team: M Reel, A Mallie, C Reel, C Campbell, C Lambe, S Murphy, B Bellew, R Hamill, A Hearty, P Cumisky, B Byrne, C McAvoy, R Griffin, L Campbell, E Byrne.  Subs: J Campbell for P Cumiskey. Club Development Draw

As you are all aware, tickets are on sale for the massive First Prize Win of £100,000E.  Second Prize is £5000E, followed by five £1000E prizes. The tickets are £20E each or three for £40E. We would invite all Club Members to contact any of the Executive Committee and put their names forward as ticket sellers. This is a mammoth push for much needed funds for our Club and so all help is greatly welcomed.


Underage Training Schedule
U8 coaching for boys and girls will continue on Sunday 9th May @ 11am.

Under 12 Girls: Training as normal. 

Under 16 Girls: Training continues on Monday 3rd May @ 7.00pm. 

Under 10’s. Training continues on Sunday 9th May @ 11.00am.

Under 12 Boys: Training is on Wednesday @ 7pm sharp.

Please note that suitable footwear, clothing and a drink are essential.

Training as usual. 


Gaelic Go Start

Continues on Sunday 9th May. Weather permitting, this will be held outdoors. Setting up @ 10.15am for commencement at 10.45am. Each child MUST be signed in and accompanied by a Parent/Guardian throughout for a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Adequate footwear and a drink essential. No fizzy drinks.


Senior Citizens & Special Needs.

A Night is being held on Friday 7th May in the Social Club.

La Na gClub 2010

For this year’s celebration, the Club is running the Pat Murphy Cup, throw-in @ 2pm & Michael Donnelly Cup, throw-in @ 11am. Both games being held on Sunday 9th May.

Social Events Committee

A meeting is being held on Thursday 6th May @ 9pm sharp in the Wee Bar. All those involved are asked to attend.


Ladies Night
Well Ladies, we at the Social Events Committee hope you all had an enjoyable night on Saturday night past and we thank you for all coming along with each and everyone of you looking so glamorous. Hopefully, there wasn’t to many sore heads on Sunday morning.  Ouch. Sponsored Walk

The Silverbridge Harps are running their annual Sponsored May Bank holiday walk on Monday 3rd May 2010 @ 2pm. Refreshments will be served after the walk, bouncy castles for the children and Music in the Wee Bar by Pat & Michael between 6pm & 9pm.


Armagh-V-Derry Senior & Minor Game

All fully paid up Club Members wishing to attend this Match, must leave their names in the Club or ring Thomas Hamill on 0872796998 no later than Saturday 8th May to secure their tickets.


Disco For The Youth

A Disco is being held in the Resource Centre on Friday 14th May 2010 between 8pm and 11pm.  Ages strictly between 10yrs and 14yrs old.  We are asking Parents to accompany their Children into the Resource Centre for safety purposes and to collect their Children @ 11pm sharp.  It has been noted that some Children are still waiting for collection well after 11.30pm.  For Childrens safely this is not appropriate or acceptable.  So, prompt collection @ 11pm.


Bus Drivers Required

Anyone with the appropriate Bus Driving License who would like to help out by driving the Club Mini bus for Matches, etc, please contact Louise Murphy on 0872325720.

 

Lotto Draw Results 

The Lotto draw numbers were 2, 7, 18 & 22 and the bonus number was 8.
The next Lotto Draw will take place on Monday 3rd May 2010.
NOTE: All lotto tickets to be returned to the club on Monday nights at 8.30pm sharp. 


Senior Citizens & Special Needs

A Weekend has been planned to visit Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey. Co Wexford, leaving on Friday 18th June and returning on Sunday 20th June. All those wishing to travel, please contact any of the Committee Members who will take your Names and £50 deposit. 


Child Protection Access NI

All Parents/Guardians/Mentors are urgently asked to return their completed & signed Access NI Access forms together with required identification to Mary Keating or Caroline Martin. Please treat as most urgent.

Every Thursday night @ 8.30pm in the Social club. Everybody welcome.   


Resource Centre

The Circuit Training has been postponed until Autumn. 

Tae Kwon Do
The Tae Kwon Do Classes will continue on Saturday afternoon @ 2.30pm. See you all there.
