Senior Match Report
The Seniors met Armagh Harps on home turf on Friday evening past for the 7.30pm throw in. Our lads scored the first point of the game in the first minute.  Although our lads battled hard, the score at half time was 0-5 and 0-08 to Armagh Harps.  When the final whistle blew at the end of the game the score was 0-11 and 0-12 to Armagh Harps. Overall, our lads gave a good gutsy performance.  Heads up lads for the next game at home on Sunday 30th May against Clann Eireann.  Check the fixtures page for the time of the throw in.

Natasha McShane Special Fund Raising Night
The Silverbridge Harps GAC have organised and are Hosting a Special Fund Raising Night for Natasha to be held on Saturday 5th June 2010 @ 9pm in the Resource Centre.  The local and popular Band, Apple Jack will take to the stage and play to a packed audience followed by a Disco.  So we invite everybody from near and far to come along and express your support to the McShane Family. There will be a few items to be auctioned and prizes to be won on the night.  Admission is £10stg or E12 Euro.  All proceeds in Aid of Natasha McShane.

Club Development Draw

As you are all aware, tickets are on sale for the massive First Prize Win of £100,000E.  Second Prize is £5000E, followed by five £1000E prizes.  The tickets are £20E each or three for £40E.  We would invite all Club Members to contact any of the Executive Committee and put their names forward as ticket sellers.  This is a mammoth push for much needed funds for our Club and so all help is greatly welcomed. 


Underage Training Schedule

Under 8’s Boys & Girls:  Training as normal.

Under 12 Girls: Training as normal.Under 16 Girls: Training as normal. 

Under 10’s. Training as normal.

Under 12 Boys: Training is on Wednesday @ 7pm sharp.

Please note that suitable footwear, clothing and a drink are essential.  No fizzy drinks. 


Minors

Training as usual. 


Gaelic Go Start

Continues on Sunday 30th May with setting up @ 10.15am for commencement @ 10.45am.  Children must signed in and accompanied by Parent/Guardian throughout.  Adequate footwear, clothing & a drink essential.  No fizzy drinks. 


Defibrillator News

The defibrillator is positioned in the storeroom and we would ask all Members trained in the Use of the Defibrillator  to please add their Name & Contact details to the Contact list provided.  Please contact Kevin Martin on 02830860500 for further details. 


Youth Club Charity Disco

The annual Charity Event Disco is being held in the Resource Centre on Friday 28th May from 8.30pm to 11pm and the Age limits are 10 to 14 year olds.  Admission is £3.  For the Safety of the Children, we would ask that all Parents/Guardians collect their Children @ 11pm sharp.  We would ask all Youth Club Members to book your seat as soon as possible for the up and coming Summer Trip. 


Sympathy

Sympathy to our Minor Manager Paul Traynor and his Wife Louise on the recent death of her Father Frank Woods of Derrynoose. 


Sympathy to Mary Keating, the Clubs Child Protection Officer on the recent Death of her Mother Mary Traynor.  Sympathy also extended to son in law Paddy Keating under age Manager and underage Players Pauric Keating, Eamon and Conor McCrave. 


Lotto Draw Results  

The Lotto draw numbers were 10, 19, 20 & 26 and the bonus number was 5.
The next Lotto Draw will take place on Monday 24th May 2010.
NOTE: All lotto tickets to be returned to the club on Monday nights at 8.30pm sharp. 


Lotto Ticket Sellers – IMPORTANT NOTICE

We are asking all Lotto Ticket Sellers to clearly mark the tickets confirming whether a Sterling or Euro sale, as future holding Winners shall be paid according to the currency in which the ticket was purchased. 


Social Events Committee

A Meeting is being held on Tuesday 25th May @ 8pm sharp in the Wee Bar.  All Committee members are requested to attend. 


Development Draw Committee

A Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 25th May @ 9pm sharp.  Everyone willing to help out are more than welcome to come along. 


Senior Citizens & Special Needs

A Weekend has been planned to visit Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey. Co Wexford, leaving on Friday 18th June and returning on Sunday 20th June.  All those wishing to travel, please make payment in full to any of the Committee Members as soon as possible.  There are only a few seats left, so contact the Committee now to confirm your booking.  First in, first served.  Please contact Frances Martin on 028 30 861117 for further information. 

Child Protection Access NI
All Parents/Guardians/Mentors are urgently asked to return their completed & signed Access NI Access forms together with required identification to Mary Keating or Caroline Martin. Please treat as most urgent.

Good luck and Best Wishes to our two Silverbridge Men Paul & Pete Manager & Captain respectively, of the Armagh Minor Team, in the Ulster Quarter Final against Monaghan in Pairc Esler {Newry Shamrocks} on Saturday 29th May, throw in @ 7pm.

Social Events Committee

Ann Connolly, Chairperson of the Silverbridge Harps GAC and the Social Events Committee is proud to announce that £860 raised at the Ladies Night on 1st May 2010 in the Social Club has been passed to Martina Shevlin of Womens Aid. Tae Kwon Do

The Tae Kwon Do Classes will continue on Saturday afternoon @ 2.30pm.  See you all there.
