Senior Match - Division Two League
The Senior team met Ballymacnab in the bridge on Wednesday night past and had a successful win, the final score being 3-10 to 1-09. In the first twelve minutes of the game, Ballymacnab were the better team going up 3 points. But with D McCann’s first point, Silverbridge never looked back, with P Cumiskey scoring a second point. B Bellew scored a brilliant goal after a good attacking move starting in the halfback line, followed by a fine point from C Conlon. With minutes to go in this first exciting half, L Campbell finished it off with yet another neat finish to the net. At half time the score was Silverbridge 2-03 to Ballymacnab 0–05. The entire back line where exceptional making blocks, pushing attacks back and making it difficult for Ballymacnab to create anything major. C MacAvoy was doing his usual job of covering every blade of grass on the pitch and made the game safe scoring the bridge’s 3rd goal near the end of the game. This was a solid performance by the boys coming so close towards the end of the season.
Team: C Reel, A Mallie, C Campbell, O Hearty, C Lambe, S Murphy, B Bellew, C McAvoy, S Hearty, R Crummy, B Burns, P Comiskey, C Conlon, D McCann, A Crummy, L Campbell,

Under 14’s Semi Final
On Sunday past our under 14 team played Clann Eireann for a place in the under 14 league final . the match ,played in Carrickcruppen ,certainly lived up to expectations with both teams demonstrating all that is good about gaelic football. The level of skill and commitment displayed by these young men was a credit to all concerned.
The game was played in a sporting manner throughout and although the ‘Bridge lads were to the fore for most of the match credit must go to Clann Eireann as they refused to give in and registered their second major score near the end of the sixty minutes to bring the match to extra time on a score of 1-12 to 2 -9. In extra time the game ebbed and flowed and the ‘Bridge managed to cross the winning line by outscoring their opponents by 3 points to 2 in extra time.
This team now go forward to the final with optimism and await the winners of the second semi final between Killeavey and St Peters.
Team: Aaron Burns, Niall Hughes, Declan Reel, Liam McArdle, Sean Garvey, James McKeown, Jack McArdle, Aaron Grant, Aaron Duffy, Sean Og McShane, Peter Reel, Joe Rock, Ronan Reel, Dan Traynor, Jarly Og Burns.
