Our annual Minor 7-A-Side Competition will be taking place on Sat 2 April. Registration @ 10am, matches start @ 11am. Some of the best minor teams from across Ulster will be competing in what has become a hugely popular annual event since its inception in November 2004. If you can lend a hand in any way (eg catering, stewarding, supervision etc) please contact me or any member of the Executive asap. Equally, why not just come along on Saturday to support the various teams taking part, many of whom will have travelled long distances.
Congratulations
Firstly, the Executive Committee and members of Silverbridge GFC would like to warmly congratulate Margaret McConville on receiving the President’s Award from GAA President Christie Cooney. The Award recognises long-standing voluntary service to the GAA and is justly deserved for a lady who truly represents the core values of the GAA. Comhghairdeas agus maith thú!
They’ve done it again! Congratulations to juvenile members Paul McKeever & Bryan Murphy who were runners up in the Intermediate Category in the UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair in London recently. Their Spec Detector project was a big hit with the judges with entries from right across the UK. This is another remarkable achievement for this dynamic duo who have been busy accumulating various awards in competitions North and South including the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in Dublin.
