FOOTBALL

SENIORS  - A very disappointing result last Sunday away to Keady despite the valiant efforts of the entire team. A number of our players sustained injuries in this very physical encounter – we wish them a speedy recovery. Next match at home to Madden on Wednesday 27th July.

LADIES Seniors –The Championship match against Mullabrack will now take place on SATURDAY 6TH AUGUST in Keeley Park. We look forward to your continued support on that date. Training as usual

U16 ladies – On 18th July the girls played Division 1 side Crossmaglen in the next round of the Championship. Holiday commitments had an impact on the strength of the ‘bridge team that fielded and despite very gutsy performances all round they were defeated by a very strong Crossmaglen panel. Training Monday @7pm. If anyone is interested in joining any of the ladies teams please see contact details below

MINORS – (Silverbridge 1-13 Naomh Eoin 2-06) The Minor team faced a potentially tricky opening match in the Championship away to Naomh Eoin in Clonmore, however they were buoyed up by the return of Seamie Kelly who, despite being injured, put in a sterling performance. After a tight first half Silverbridge appeared to be getting the upper hand when a goal from a clever Bryan Murphy flick 10 minutes into the second half put them 7 points ahead. However Naomh Eoin responded with two goals in quick succession to leave them just a point behind and playing with renewed confidence. Silverbridge however, dug deep, and thanks to some stout defending, strong midfield catching and running and pinpoint accuracy of the forwards they ran out 4 point winners. An excellent team performance. TEAM: C McKinley, C Mulholland, C McKeown, Padi Reel, Gary Reel, Paddy Reel, F Burns, S Kelly, M Hearty, E Burns, S McLoughlin, F Carragher, P Hearty, C Quinn, B Murphy  SUBS: Conor McArdle, Aodhan Quinn, Pauric Keating, Christopher Cunningham, Gerard Mines
