‘Comhghairdeas do Gráinne Garvey agus Laura McShane.’ These two talented county footballers picked up an all Ireland medal on Monday 1st August in the Ladies All Ireland Minor B Championship Final when Armagh defeated Wicklow 5-15 to 3-16. Congratulations from everyone at Silverbridge Harps GFC! SENIORSIntermediate Championship (Silverbridge 1-10 St Peter’s 1-10 ) On Friday 5th August our away match against St Peter’s ended in a draw. In the first half, the visitors scored 6 unanswered points but St Peter’s then found their feet and by half time had a two point lead. A quick point from St Peter’s at the start of the second half allowed the home side to edge forward. The ‘bridge kept their heads down and despite being a man down managed to level the scores in what was probably a fair result. Very good work all round.
U16 ladies – training as usualMINORS – Training as usual. ‘Gaelic Go Start’ Training and activities as usual on Sunday 14th August. Many thanks to the continued support of mentors and parents. Under 8 – training as usualUnder 10 – There is a challenge game away to Newtown on Tuesday evening (9th Aug). Could parents please leave players at Newtown football field for 6.30pm. Club bus will take players back to clubrooms at 8.15pm.

Silverbridge Harps Summer CampWell done and thankyou to all those who took part in and supported our annual summer camp last week. Football, basketball, dancing and fancy dress were just a few of the activities experienced by the youth of the area. A special thankyou to Ryan Hamill and his team of dedicated workers who put so much effort into the entire week. Maith sibh!
